Job description

An early-stage startup founded by ex-Google employees and operating as one of the world’s most popular Christian meditation apps is looking for a Tech Lead. The selected candidate will be responsible for handling managerial activities while following the product roadmap. The app seeks to help bring people closer to God by offering guidance to hundreds of thousands of people globally in Biblical truth and personal reflection. This full-time position will require an overlap with the Pacific time zone.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership by reviewing code and design docs
  • Understand product goals and work with teams to refine requirements
  • Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Proactively research, propose, and implement the use of various platforms, services, libraries, and technologies to enhance the development process

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant software engineering experience 
  • Competency in API design and data modeling
  • Proficiency in Android/Kotlin and iOS - Swift will be an added advantage
  • Experience in Kubernetes and Go is nice to have 
  • Solid database experience with MongoDB is a plus
  • Strong work ethic and ability to produce solutions in a timely manner
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
