Job description

A seed-funded B2B and B2C platform, creating a suite of tools that serve the needs of non-profits, is looking for a Tech Lead. The selected candidate will serve as the technical leader for the company’s vision and must have some experience with enterprise software. The non-profit company is determined to drive change in the community daily with the help of innovative and dedicated partner organizations. This will be a long-term position and ideal for candidates with prior startup experience at an early-stage company.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build quality assurance and data protection processes 
  • Implement internal systems and infrastructure that enables engineering migrations  
  • Manage and enhance the tech stack, currently consisting of PHP and JavaScript
  • Build and manage the future internal engineering team 
  • Communicate effectively and regularly with external partners, investors, and stakeholders
  • Strategize with founders and other team members around future product enhancements 
  • Manage integrations with partners and other systems 
  • Provide product designers with technical feedback and assist customer success with technical help

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of managerial experience
  • 5-10+ years experience working with JavaScript
  • Familiarity with Laravel and VueJs
  • Proven track record as a startup head of technology or similar leadership role  
  • Advanced technical skills and demonstrated history with technology
  • Extensive industry knowledge with an eye towards the future
  • Knowledge and experience with Stripe or other payment processing systems is nice to have
  • Experienced in system architecture in regards to web and software development
  • Ability to conduct technological analyses and research 
  • Strong leadership and organizational abilities 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
