Senior React Native Developer

A fast-emerging company that provides a luxurious boating experience by connecting the boat owners and captains to other people is looking for a Senior React Native Developer. The selected candidate will be responsible for enhancing component architecture to maximize the output across a diverse range of mobile devices. The company has more than 50k boats that are available to be rented in 600+ locations. This will be a long-term and full-time role. The company has managed to raise close to $30 mn in funding. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the product team to deliver solutions that are well-engineered, tested, and delivered within the agreed-upon timeframe on a consistent and frequent basis
• Coding, code reviews, sprint planning, and testing
• Create a modern, responsive user interface for iOS and Android
• Create reusable React Native components in Figma
• Improve component architecture for maximum performance across a wide range of mobile devices
• Coordination with different teams working on different application domains
• Participate in product planning and timelines, as well as assisting with scoping and work estimates
• Collaborate with product managers, creative directors, QA, and DevOps to lead projects from concept to completion that are both technologically sound and aesthetically pleasing

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
• 4+ years of experience with React Native development for iOS and Android
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process and methodologies
• Proficiency in React Native framework
• Understanding of principles of native mobile application development
• Expert understanding of fundamental web technologies such as HTTP, REST, AJAX, and JSON
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and GraphQL
• Deep understanding of JS development and build tools
• Hands-on experiences in the usage of automated unit test tools
• Solid understanding of software design and patterns such as MVC, Delegation, Singleton, Factory, and Adapter
• Demonstrated expertise in app memory management, multithreading, networking, and application security
• Proficiency in English
