Job description

A US-based company that is determined to revolutionize the educational industry and build a better future for the youth, is looking for a Senior Lead Front-End Developer. The developer will be responsible for following SEO best practices and managing the software workflow. The company is partnering with top-performing organizations, parks, and schools to provide exceptional after-school programs and summer and seasonal camps. During their Series A round, the company has managed to secure more than $98K in funding. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Undertake a key role in the team, working alongside other developers and engineers to collaborate on the various infrastructure layers of the company’s mobile and web apps 
  • Work extensively to optimize the user experience, and develop and maintain the user interface
  • Use CSS, HTML, and JavaScript to turn concepts into reality
  • Create tools to improve site interaction irrespective of the browser
  • Implement design on mobile websites
  • Fix bugs and test for usability
  • Design the web application’s overall architecture
  • Work on designing and launching new features by collaborating with the other engineering team members
  • Ensure responsiveness and quality maintenance of applications
  • Maintain code organization and integrity
  • Work on reviewing front-end PRs of other developer team members

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5-10+ years of relevant experience as a senior frontend developer
  • Must be experienced in working with graphic designers and know how to convert designs into visual elements
  • Hands-on experience in every stage of software development is compulsory
  • Prolific knowledge of understanding and implementing data protection and security
  • Vast knolwdge of ReactJS libraries required for design frameworks, including Bootstrap and Foundation, Styled components, and CSS extensions like SASS to provide better power and modularity
  • Prior experience working with TypeScript, JavaScript, Next.js, React.js, Create React App (react-scripts) Frameworks, and React Native 
  • Must have development experience for desktop as well as mobile
  • Prolific knowledge of Node.js as a server-side language, Github as the code versioning tool, and Apollo GraphQL 
  • Must be fluent in written and spoken English
