Job description

An interactive chat and live-stream platform for traders and content creators in the financial industry is looking to hire a Mobile Lead Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and scaling the entire mobile development team. The platform offers content, community, and collaboration necessary to become an expert and has recently closed a $6.1 mn seed round led by some of the world’s largest Venture capitalists and Angel investors. The candidate will contribute hands-on code, with an emphasis on providing leadership and vision around the direction of the code base, toolsets, and architecture decisions. This is a great chance to join the team as an early hire and build a social streaming platform for the new generation of investors.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Enforce best practices for mobile development and automated testing
  • Effectively communicate progress on projects to key stakeholders
  • Lead sprint estimation efforts and track development progress and quality
  • Contribute to the team building by identifying resource requirements, skill sets, sourcing candidates, and conducting technical interviews
  • Produce fully functional mobile applications as well as troubleshooting and debugging software to optimize performance
  • Develop metrics, KPIs, and team goals while ensuring an open/collaborative culture for the team

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of mobile engineering experience
  • Experience in leading teams (local and/or remote)
  • Experience communicating with engineering and product teams
  • Proficiency with Jira or other project management platforms
  • Prior experience with early-stage startups, including social, video, chat, trading, and crypto platforms
  • Experience working with Python, PostgreSQL, React Native, Typescript, Kubernetes, AWS, IaaS (Terraform), and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred)
  • Track record of building, testing, deploying APIs, and integrating with multiple 3rd party APIs
