Job description

A fast-emerging holding company that invests in media assets focused mainly on entertainment, music, and social networking is looking for a Lead Software Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of developing a new central repository at the center of the Trust & Safety initiatives. Through its owned and controlled social media exchange, the company invests in shared services and programmatic monetization. Candidates with a strong passion for innovations to improve crucial systems and keep users safe are suitable for this role.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with cross-functional executives and the larger technical team to apply new tools and convert current safety features throughout the portfolio
  • Create, maintain, and enhance critical operational workflows for trust and safety
  • Share your views and comments on best practices for scaling, especially as the Trust and Safety team increases
  • Assist with the onboarding, guidance, and mentoring of future engineers

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 10+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Experience in a senior or lead role and a track record of leading/mentoring other engineers
  • Knowledge of React and Angular
  • Experience in Typescript and JavaScript
  • Full-stack engineering experience with Golang
  • Experience designing and building real-world web applications and javascript libraries with cross-browser support
  • A focus on safety and a desire to uncover and understand the full specifications of a problem before acting
  • Proficiency in English
