Job description

A Silicon Valley-based start-up focused on building the privacy API is looking for an Infrastructure SRE/DevOps to join their team. The engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing secure and scalable Infrastructure as service, and build tools and automation to improve the system's observability. The company is funded by some of the top investors and has raised a total of $25M in funding so far. The platform’s data privacy vaults deliver security, compliance and governance via a simple API. This is a good opportunity for those who want to create a lasting impact in building new products and features at scale. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement secure and scalable infrastructure
  • Own and automate infrastructure provisioning, demand forecasting and capacity planning
  • Build tools and automation to improve system’s observability, availability, reliability, performance/latency, monitoring, and emergency responses
  • Setting up alerts and monitoring for system infrastructure
  • Monitor systems, application health, security controls and costs
  • Practice sustainable incident response as well as participate in peer reviews and blameless postmortems
  • Implement and rollout best DevOps tooling and automation practices

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in site reliability engineering or DevOps role
  • Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Storage / RDBMS and No-SQL databases
  • Expertise on CNI, CNCF landscape
  • Strong knowledge of Python, Shell, Go, or Java
  • Strong track record of implementing AWS/GCP/Azure services in a variety of distributed computing environments
  • Strong debugging/troubleshooting skills
  • Working knowledge on Linux servers and networking
  • Experience with monitoring solutions like DataDog, NewRelic, ELK, or Prometheus
  • Experience in infrastructure automation & monitoring tools like - Terraform, Helm, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.
  • Experience with modern cloud development practices (microservices architectures, REST interfaces, etc.)
  • Experience in database setup, tuning and monitoring
