Job description

The engineer will utilize expertise in distributed and scalable computing, easy-to-use consumer products, UI design and mobile, machine learning, data science, networking, storage, and security to transform the farming ecosystem. Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform activities to backup and restore archive and purge process
  • Ensure database security and standards are kept
  • Work on the performance tuning
  • Upgrade and manage database applications
  • Handle the data access and review the SQL queries
  • Evangelize teams with better data access query and access control
  • Manage the data quality and data cataloging
  • Perform statistical tests to determine data quality and integrity
  • Drastically improve data collection and storage processes
  • Spot abuse, identify inorganic activity and develop solutions
  • Solve analytical problems and apply analytical methods as needed within datasets
  • Engage cross-functionally with a wide variety of people and teams
  • Work closely with engineers and analysts to lead the development of long-lasting solutions
  • Prepare and present recommendations to multiple levels of stakeholders
  • Take pride in the simplicity of design and have the keenest eye for detail

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Familiarity with SQL database Aurora, RDS, PostgreSQL, and ElasticSearch
  • Prior experience as a database administration engineer
  • Software development experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages
  • Experience working with a variety of storage systems at a large scale
  • Excellent communication skills in verbal and written English
