Skills required to become an Ansible developer
The first step toward securing high-paying Ansible developer jobs is to learn the necessary skills. Let's take a closer look at each of the technical skills.
1. YAML
Ansible playbooks are expressed using YAML syntax. One of the most common applications for YAML is the creation of configuration files. When compared to other data formats such as XML and JSON, Ansible uses YAML because it is very easy for humans to understand, read, and write. Even though they can be used interchangeably in most cases, it is recommended that configuration files be written in YAML rather than JSON because YAML has better readability and is more user-friendly.
2. Python
Back-end components, application connections to third-party web services, and support for front-end developers in web applications are all areas of interest for Python developers. Of course, you can build applications in other languages, but Python is frequently used for this purpose for a variety of reasons.
A smart Python developer should be experienced enough to find, study, and correctly implement the Python ecosystem's packages, as he will be using them almost every day. These libraries cover a wide range of topics, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, and others.
3. API Development
API development skills are essential because they enable software developers to connect and integrate a wide range of programmes and systems. Modern programming makes extensive use of API connections to improve connectivity between various devices, apps, and programmes.
4. Shell scripts
Shell scripting allows us to take advantage of the shell's capabilities and automate a variety of tasks that would otherwise necessitate a plethora of commands. Whether you're a sysadmin, Linux user, or software developer, bash scripting will help you automate routine tasks and save time.
5. Ansible tower
Ansible Tower is Ansible's enterprise version. It enables sysadmins to deploy all of Ansible's benefits at scale. And, like Ansible, it integrates with your existing technology infrastructure across the board: networking, security, application deployment, storage, software development lifecycle processes, and so on.
6. Microsoft Windows Server
Windows Server features benefit small businesses as well as large corporations; it reduces energy consumption and licensing costs through virtualization, and it improves response times through centralized administration, which allows virtually all servers in the data center to be managed.
