Job description

A U.S.-based company that is developing an inclusive payments platform that will serve a varied global market and give SaaS vendors a special path to a new revenue stream, is looking for a Database Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for the database architecture and design while taking part in application development projects. The company is creating a payments network specifically for Family Tech SaaS vendors to providers of childcare, education, and child enrichment. The company has managed to secure more than $2.2mn during their Seed round of funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Make sure web applications and web pages are fast and responsive
  • To assist the team in managing their numerous data sources, organize complex thoughts and data sets
  • Create SQL and NoSQL database designs and walk the rest of the development team through them
  • Analyze APIs, specific guidelines, and data files, and develop a platform as a whole

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a Database Engineer
  • Prolific experience working with TypeScript type definitions and GraphQL API queries
  • Demonstrable experience with Relational DB and SQL
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Document DB, DynamoDB, and MongoDB
  • Some familiarity with Python and AppSync is desirable
  • Nice to have some understanding of iOS and Android technologies
  • Excellent conversational and written English communication skills
