Job description

An emerging technology company focused on building safer, sustainable, and economical transportation is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for various key projects and tasks such as building and implementing automation, interfaces, and developing the financial infrastructure for the trucking industry globally. The company has raised over $25 million in venture capital from elite investors and grown rapidly up to 20-25% week over week. The selected candidate will join the team and gain the opportunity to work full-time with engineering managers from companies like Amazon, Rippling, and Spring Health to modernize the industry’s payments infrastructure. The role requires at least 4-5 hours of time overlap with San Francisco (PT timezone).


Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify issues, resolve them and develop new features around Stripe Issuing, accounting system, customer onboarding and signup, and business underwriting 
  • Ensure some financial APIs integrations such as Plaid and Stripe ACH, and some internal tools for sales, risk, and support teams
  • Manage the full lifecycle of the product from design to documentation
  • Design and implement best practices for maintainability
  • Perform code reviews and provide mentorship to mid-level developers

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 2-3+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails
  • Prior experience with React.js and Python is nice to have
  • Experience with PostgreSQL database and Heroku
  • Ability to think big, deliver results, and work in a time-sensitive environment
  • Ability to operate with autonomy in highly ambiguous situations
