Job description

A U.S.-based company that is developing an innovative online learning platform with the goal of revolutionizing how people learn, is looking for a Senior Data Analyst. The selected candidate will be responsible for determining areas for optimization, those with significant variance, and offer suggestions for operational enhancements. The company uses cutting-edge technology, such as AI, to connect students of all ages with subject matter experts while providing higher value through live learning sessions. During their Series C round, the company managed to secure more than $105mn in funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Discover how things function, then test and improve them endlessly to achieve desired results
  • Collaborate with partners in related fields to gain a thorough grasp of their use cases, and data structures, generate measurements, and inform decisions
  • Obtain data, analyze it, and present the findings
  • Respond to what you learn by pivoting or shifting your strategies as needed
  • Produce reliable data reporting on both the high- and low-level
  • Data and highlights must be presented and communicated clearly
  • By automating reports, combining data sources, and investigating new metrics and data points to measure, try to minimize friction
  • Utilize experimentation, creative iteration, and A/B testing to accelerate learning and funnel optimization

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a data analyst
  • Prolific experience with Excel and other analytical tools
  • Working knowledge of SQL 
  • Ability to convey and visually represent enormous data sets in a compelling, understandable manner
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative abilities
  • Prior experience testing hypotheses, confirming assumptions, and measuring success using data and analytics
  • Ability to comfortably delve through extremely broad fields of data
  • Proven ability to discover, evaluate, and solve perplexing problems with keen attention to detail
  • Extreme attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve ambiguous challenges
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and data to top management 
  • Must be comfortable with data wrangling 
  • Demonstrable experience working with data engineers to find and effectively operationalize new data streams
  • Experience with Looker is nice to have
  • Experience with demand planning or forecasting is desirable
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making
  • Fluent in spoken and written English communication skills
