Job description

A rapidly-growing company that is building products that help expand financial access, choice, and control globally, is looking for a Senior Android Developer. The selected candidate will be in charge of building special projects and features. The rapidly-growing global technology and data science company is focused on developing the most convenient financial services in emerging areas. They have managed to raise $300mn+ in funding during their Series E round. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and ship customer-facing features to improve aesthetics, stability, and security features
  • Build and scale complex features for current and future supported countries.
  • Assist in integrating with external partners for tracking, payment/KYC, support, etc
  • Look into design documents, conduct code reviews, and weigh in on implementation choices from other technical teams.
  • Help to rework existing codebases to configure better abstraction and modularization
  • Add, maintain, and extend automation tests for complying with code coverage targets

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of professional experience as an Android developer
  • Must have at least 2+ years of professional experience of working with languages like Java and Kotlin
  • Proven experience in building and shipping large-scale consumer mobile applications
  • Should possess a deep understanding of performance, strengths, and trade-offs of Android
  • Familiarity with development processes involving dependency injection, preferably Dagger 2
  • Ability to produce high-quality codes using reactive development frameworks like RxJava
  • Expertise in REST API development processes
  • Deep understanding of software architecture concepts like MVP, MVVM, and Clean Architecture
  • Familiarity with predictive analysis and machine learning concepts will be helpful
