A US-based company building a strong community of translation professionals and language professors is looking for a PHP Tech Lead. The selected candidate will be working with a wide range of systems and technologies to solve problems from end to end. Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain cutting edge web-based PHP applications
  • Lead the entire web application development life cycle from concept stage to delivery
  • Refactor, optimize and improve the existing codebase for maintenance and scalability
  • Collaborate within teams to gather requirements and develop software solutions
  • Keep abreast of new trends and best development practices
  • Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience in PHP development
  • Must be well-versed in PHP web frameworks like Laravel
  • Expertise in designing robust and scalable APIs
  • Must possess thorough data modeling and database development skills
  • Familiarity with software testing and design patterns will be helpful
  • Mus be aware of the limitations of PHP, web server exploits, and related solutions
  • Experience in working with SQL/NoSQL databases and query optimization techniques is required
  • Understanding of PHP MVC frameworks like Symfony, Kohana, etc. is preferred
  • Must be familiar with user authentication and authorization between multiple systems
