Job description

A rapidly-emerging company that ​​designs, trains, and fine-tunes AI models for marine conservation initiatives is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for offering solutions to the shortcomings in present algorithms. The company's software uses powerful artificial intelligence to expedite the most time-consuming elements of the electronic monitoring review process.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create unique computer vision algorithms for object detection and semantic segmentation
  • Ensure multiple-object tracking in applications for sustainability
  • Create and carry out experiments
  • Offer solutions for issues in the existing algorithm
  • Write scientific articles and technical reports regarding the techniques
  • Contribute efforts to preserving some of the most significant ecosystems in the world to promote a more sustainable future

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience in modern computer vision research 
  • 4+ years of experience in Python experience
  • 3+ years experience in PyTorch and/or Tensorflow
  • Familiarity with object detection, multiple-object tracking, and image classification
  • Ability to extend algorithms for the tasks
  • A track record of executing machine learning projects from start to finish and presenting results
  • Knowledge of production deployment of Machine Learning algorithms, including MLOps and cloud-based and edge-based solutions, is a plus
  • Grant writing experience is a plus
  • Publications in relevant venues (CVPR, ECCV, etc.) or demonstrated deployment of impactful real-world Computer Vision applications are nice to have
  • Knowledge of AWS is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
