Job description

A rapidly-emerging company that designs, trains, and fine-tunes AI models for marine conservation initiatives is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for offering solutions to the shortcomings in present algorithms. The company's software uses powerful artificial intelligence to expedite the most time-consuming elements of the electronic monitoring review process.

Job Responsibilities:

Create unique computer vision algorithms for object detection and semantic segmentation
Ensure multiple-object tracking in applications for sustainability
Create and carry out experiments
Offer solutions for issues in the existing algorithm
Write scientific articles and technical reports regarding the techniques
Contribute efforts to preserving some of the most significant ecosystems in the world to promote a more sustainable future

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 4+ years of relevant experience in modern computer vision research
4+ years of experience in Python experience
3+ years experience in PyTorch and/or Tensorflow
Familiarity with object detection, multiple-object tracking, and image classification
Ability to extend algorithms for the tasks
A track record of executing machine learning projects from start to finish and presenting results
Knowledge of production deployment of Machine Learning algorithms, including MLOps and cloud-based and edge-based solutions, is a plus
Grant writing experience is a plus
Publications in relevant venues (CVPR, ECCV, etc.) or demonstrated deployment of impactful real-world Computer Vision applications are nice to have
Knowledge of AWS is a plus
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
