Job description

A well-established organization that is determined to build impactful modern technologies and ML analytical services to help revolutionize the preventive healthcare industry, is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer. The engineer will be collaborating with a team of experts to develop the framework workflow and code development for the platform. The company's goal is to advance non-invasive, user-friendly, portable, and reasonably priced technology for early illness detection and monitoring. This position requires a significant overlap with the EST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with experts in neurodegenerative diseases, AI, and business
  • Build the framework, workflow, and code development for the platform
  • Develop leading technologies with the potential to solve the world’s most complex diagnostic challenges and improve people’s lives
  • Test and evaluate AI algorithms and software tool prototypes 
  • Conduct multiple analyses to test the suitability of the algorithms for further use in the screening and predictive component of the framework
  • Perform imaging analyses, manage multivariate databases, and transfer/management of overall project data in a secure manner for analysis
  • Assist Investigators and Consultants in the successful execution of projects
  • Communicate the AI approach, model performance, and results to internal teams and investors
  • Introduce new ideas and projects to innovate projects further
  • Follow a data-first approach to create data-driven solutions

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s/Ph.D. degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical or Biomedical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics (or experience in related fields)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a Machine Learning Engineer 
  • Experience in computer science, mathematics, medical image analysis/processing, and AI
  • Trained or experienced in computer vision, pattern recognition, neural networks, machine learning, deep learning research, algorithm optimization, high-performance computing, data structures, numerical methods, and statistics
  • Skilled in software prototyping, data/image processing and analysis, and algorithm development using Python and/or C++ 
  • Experience with one or more open-source tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc
  • ML OPS skills and experience with AWS SageMaker are desirable
  • Good to possess previous experience in image/signal processing and/or medical imaging, software development in ophthalmic imaging 
  • Hands-on experience with medical applications in ophthalmology is nice to have
  • Experienced working for healthcare technologies posed for the FDA approval process is preferred
  • Ability to work independently and with various interdisciplinary teams
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills
