A U.S.-based startup working in the biotech industry to revolutionize and accelerate drug discovery rates around the world is looking for a Web Front-End Engineer to join their team. The selected candidate will work with a talented team of innovators to design, develop, and maintain an exciting new platform that will shape the future of scientific simulations. The company is passionately working on pioneering a cloud product in molecular dynamics simulations with the potential to significantly impact the world. Job Responsibilities:

Develop user-friendly interfaces that empower scientists and researchers to explore intricate molecular dynamics simulations
Create sophisticated and responsive frontend components utilizing cutting-edge web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, React, and WebGL
Design compelling data visualizations and interactive elements to enhance the user experience, ensuring efficient data representation and exploration
Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate GraphQL APIs and optimize data flow between frontend and backend systems
Contribute to the architectural design and implementation of our web application, focusing on scalability, performance, and maintainability
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in frontend development and user experience design, incorporating emerging trends and best practices into our product

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a Front-End Engineer
Proficiency in modern frameworks and libraries such as React and WebGL, with a deep understanding of their core principles and best practices
Familiarity with build tools, package managers, and version control systems such as Webpack, npm, Yarn, and Git
Passion for creating visually appealing and responsive user interfaces, driven by a keen eye for design and attention to detail
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously
Capability to deliver high-quality code that meets project requirements
Familiarity with biotechnology or the scientific domain would be a plus
Passion for scientific advancements and a drive to contribute to cutting-edge research
Great communication skills with good command of written and spoken English
