Job description

A U.S.-based company that is developing a next-gen social platform with a widespread user base is looking for a Front-End Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of conducting code reviews and maintaining design docs while giving feedback on product specs and mocks. The company is enabling global users to find a sense of belonging and partake in communal activities over the online forum. The company has managed to raise more than $1.2bn during their Series F round of funding. This position requires a significant overlap with the CET time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work cross-functionally with product, design, and other engineering teams to execute product and business strategy 
  • Build high-performant, scalable products and features to attract the company’s users
  • Contribute to the full development cycle, including technical design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch
  • Participate with a team of fast-moving, and motivated engineers to implement a product roadmap
  • Contribute to the improvement of developer workflows, recommend best practices, and help mentor junior engineers on the team to grow their technical expertise
  • Learn and improve technical and non-technical abilities

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a front-end engineer
  • Extensive experience in TypeScript
  • Nice to have experience in GraphQL
  • Experience in web components and automated testing 
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
