Job description

A modern data infrastructure company helping companies to elevate their data engineering/data science by facilitating automations is looking for a Front-End Engineer. As an engineer, you will contribute to revolutionizing the managed data lake experience and ensuring a unique UX for customers. Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with product leaders to deeply understand business requirements and come up with UX flows and mocks for new features
  • Drive the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of all user-facing functionality on the web application
  • Exhibit ownership of all of product flows and UI elements, working closely with back-end engineers
  • Deliver full-stack solutions using a variety of UI frameworks and web technologies
  • Create an immediate impact within the team
  • Work with an experienced team with numerous staff-level engineers to learn and grow with
  • Work rapidly to balance speedy execution with a high-quality output

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 2+ years of relevant front-end software engineering experience 
  • Strong command over React (Typescript), HTML / CSS and other front-end technologies
  • Hands-on experience with GRPC (web and streaming APIs), as well as Protobuf
  • Proficient with principles of good user experience and UI/front-end development
  • Experience with databases (RDBMS, Firebase)
  • Strong CS Fundamentals
  • Good communication skills
  • Prolific skills with AWS / GCP cloud services/environment
  • Conversant with Material UI and advanced data visualization components
  • Exceptional back-end / REST API design skills
