Front-End Engineer

A U.S.-based company that is developing world-class e-commerce development services and products is looking for a Front-End Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of developing high-quality code from scratch by translating specifications, designs, and wireframes. The company develops managed services, mobile commerce apps, and enterprise-level online stores for customers. Job Responsibilities:

• Develop reusable and modular React components, use hooks or Redux to handle state, and use React Router to navigate
• Build end-to-end tests, integration tests, and unit tests to make sure the codebase is reliable and stable
• Establish front-end libraries and reusable cross-platform components for future use
• Enhance component performance for a wide range of web-capable devices and browsers

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a front-end engineer
• 3-5+ years of experience developing web applications with React
• Prolific experience working closely with HTML, CSS, TypeScript, JavaScript, Webpack, and Redux
• Comprehensive understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, and performance optimization
• Extensive working knowledge of testing frameworks like Jest and React Testing Library
• Expert knowledge of version control tools like Git
• Working knowledge of utilizing RESTful APIs and managing asynchronous data flow
• Solid background in performance-enhancing React applications
• Prior experience with responsive and mobile-first web applications is nice to have
• Some knowledge using API integration libraries like Axios or Fetch is desirable
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
