Job description

An educational organization that connects students with schools, programs, resources, and experts, is looking for a Data Analytics Engineer. The selected candidate will be in charge of building internal and external analytics products to empower users with strategic decision-making. The company works in the fastest-growing market for higher education, assisting universities in taking their courses online with flexibility, accessibility, alignment, efficiency, and delight. The company has managed to raise $85 mn+ during the Series C round of funding. Candidates who would like to contribute to the transformation of higher education through online learning are suitable for this position.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Convert high-level product requirements into feasible technical requirements
  • Point out new data needs and create ingestion processes
  • Clarify business rules and implement them in code 
  • Transform data using SQL and other useful means to power the products
  • Write automated tests, document and perform reviews 
  • Implement visualizations with Tableau to make actionable data
  • Work actively with product stakeholders and take note of feedbacks

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant data engineering experience 
  • Solid expertise with Git, complex SQL, and AWS to build and deploy data products
  • Prior experience creating visualizations in Tableau
  • Proficiency in cross-functional collaborations to iteratively develop data products and processes
  • Extensive experience analyzing data from digital marketing, CRM, SIS, or LMS tools
  • Demonstrable experience with Python, dbt, AWS Athena, or CircleCI is nice to have
