Job description

A US-based company helping the world's largest e-commerce brands and businesses to build virtually any business-related product is looking for a Web Front-End Developer. The selected candidate will be tasked with enhancing existing and introducing new engineering standards, tooling, and processes. The company offers a wide range of services to businesses, from consulting, strategy, training, process, team building, and more. This will be a long-term position requiring some overlap with the PST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Successfully deploy code to production with a high level of automation, code coverage, and monitoring
  • Mentor junior engineers and guide them through standard software development practices
  • Ensure top quality code; practice code reviews, unit tests, integration and end-to-end tests in a continuous integration environment
  • Use a holistic, test-oriented approach to troubleshoot and upgrade the application
  • Display leadership qualities with an ability to take ownership of technical projects and processes
  • Ability to work well with a team and adhere to code guidelines

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a frontend web developer
  • Experience using CSS preprocessors like SASS, with responsive (mobile-first) and cross-browser development and testing is a must
  • Must have experience with Typescript
  • Must have experience writing modern (ES6+) clean, readable, and well-documented JavaScript
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as, React, Next.js, or Vue is a must
  • Knowledge of Next.js, Node.js and third party APIs are nice to have
  • Familiarity with graphic designing is preferred
  • Shopify and Liquid knowledge is a plus
  • Pixel perfect design-to-code implementation
