Job description

A U.S-based company that has developed an AI-powered sponsorship analytics platform is looking for a Software Developer. The selected candidate will be responsible for building a data warehouse to give customers quicker data and other internal stakeholders' analytical capabilities. The company assists companies, advertising agencies, and sports teams to better understand the ROI of their sponsorships to enable them to take action that matters. This role will require a 5-hour overlap with PST.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Make technical design recommendations for developing and integrating new features in accordance with the requirements
  • Collaborate with members of the development and infrastructure teams to implement best practices for all aspects of system development, such as requirements, design, build, and testing/validation
  • Modify existing software applications and modules to meet high-level specifications, application support, and industry standards
  • When reviewing applications, adhere to architecture standards, risk management, security policies, processes, and procedures
  • Create, develop, and maintain systems that are in charge of delivering data to clients at scale via Rest APIs
  • Create a data warehouse to provide clients with faster data and other internal stakeholders with analytics capabilities
  • Innovate on how to keep driving technology forward and apply forward-thinking innovation to technologies
  • Integrate unit and functional tests for any new development, focusing on the most critical edge cases
  • Cooperate with other engineers, Teams, operations, and the product during requirements gathering, as well as any reported issue
  • Maintain a monitoring mindset while developing systems
  • Investigate infrastructure or user-reported issues with the team's applications
  • Apply CI/CD to any new applications
  • Communicate with development teams to ensure consistency, encourage knowledge sharing, and promote best practices adoption
  • Develop, motivate, and mentor junior developers; actively seek out and resolve stumbling blocks, ambiguity, external dependencies, and so on

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
  • 1+ year of experience working with infrastructure as code 
  • 2+ years of work experience working with data warehouse solutions
  • 2+ years of experience working with cloud /or hybrid cloud technologies
  • 3+ years of work experience with Java, Spring, Python, micro-services, and SQL
  • 5+ years of work experience in building scalable and robust back-end systems
  • Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Experience working with Druid, Redshift, Dynamo
  • Experience in fast-moving startups
  • Fluency in architecture and design across all systems
  • Experience working in an agile development environment
  • Proven ability to work with a project team to develop strategies and implement technical solutions
  • Experience in automated testing and continuous integration
  • Great communication skills to communicate with both technical and non-technical cross-functional team members and stakeholders
  • A team player and motivated to work in a startup-like culture
  • Self-motivated and ambitious
  • Naturally curious and able to solve problems
  • Proficiency in English
