Job description

A rapidly-growing disability and medical benefits representation organization on a mission to help the disabled get the financial assistance they deserve is looking for a Software Developer. The developer will be in charge of writing high-quality, efficient, and reusable code. The company assists people in traversing the bureaucratic procedure and effectively applying for and receiving disability and medical benefits. This is a nice opportunity for developers who are eager to support a noteworthy cause. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the back-end operations and ensure seamless data interchange between its servers and users 
  • Develop and code server-side logic
  • Maintain the central database and respond to all requests from front-end developers 
  • Analyze the application and website requirements
  • Use an optimized database to develop back-end portals
  • Troubleshoot application and code problems
  • Write back-end code and develop effective PHP modules
  • Integrate data storage solutions
  • Update and alter application features to increase performance
  • Finalize back-end features and test web applications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a PHP developer
  • Proficiency in object-oriented PHP programming
  • Must be skilled in GitHub, JavaScript, AWS Repository, and PHP Spreadsheets
  • Prior experience in developing scalable applications
  • Must possess strong problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in code versioning tools, including Git
  • Must be familiar with MySQL databases 
  • Project management skills would be nice to have
  • Excellent conversational and written English communication skills
