Job description

An NYSE-listed company that is utilizing the power of technology to develop a merchant services aggregator and mobile payment services to help simplify commerce is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for designing and building products at a sophisticated level. The company's modern solutions are enabling businesses to accept payments, build customer relationships, and grow their business in-store and online. The company has managed to raise $600 mn+ in funding so far. This position requires 8+ hours of overlap with the PST time zone.

Job Responsibilities:

Design and build iterative prototypes of scalable projects
Develop web integrations and new features for the company’s platform
Examine, fix bugs and troubleshoot consumer issues
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams throughout the company

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
Extensive experience in Python and Linux
Experience in lab automation or hardware testing is a plus
Fluent in verbal and written English

About the Project:

There are 2 primary projects for this role that this person will be working on:

Monitoring the fleet of servers and connective test devices. When they fall into a bad start we want to auto-recover them and file tickets if it fails. Lots of python code is written to do the recovery but it's not automated today.
Want to scale to 1 to 5 or 1 to 10 ducts per Linux server. Challenges involved with USM isolations, VMs, System de-slices, etc.
