Job description

A US-based company building a secure platform that makes programming fun and accessible for children while they play is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of the subscription service's upkeep and expansion while working in a collaborative team environment. The company has built a subscription service for teachers with school-specific features, such as classroom management and new standards-aligned math content. The company has securely raised more than $80mn in funding so far. This will be a full-time position that requires some overlap with the PST time zone. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the maintenance and growth of the subscription service
  • Improve the user experience
  • Enhance the engagement and conversion flow
  • Work with the team, alongside a few engineers responsible for the robot
  • Contribute to the maintenance and the growth of the subscription service

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3-5+ years of experience working as a software engineer
  • Solid expertise in Scala for the back-end and React for the front-end
  • Expertise in MongoDB is nice to have
  • Competency in improving engagement and the conversion flow
  • Must be fluent in English
