Job description

A fast-growing US-based platform, revolutionizing the tech industry with its data automation technology, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The developer will be working closely with a small team of high-performing engineers and responsible for developing REST APIs and integrating SaaS applications. The company's synchronization platform provides users with an innovative approach to automation, integration, and data management. It has secured more than $23.5 mn in funding during the Series A round. The role requires an overlap of 8+ hours with the PST time zone and will be a long-term, full-time position.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop new smart connectors to external data sources ranging from different forms of databases
  • Understand requirements, build and test features
  • Work with existing data connectors to enhance and tackle issues as necessary
  • Understand limitations of integrations and work around those issues
  • Handle multiple code paths at the same time
  • Work closely with the framework team to enhance the connector's performance
  • Apart from developing, write extensive unit tests to ensure code quality
  • Actively work on customer escalations to solve issues that may arise
  • Collaborate with the senior team and communicate effectively on technical features

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of overall software engineering experience
  • Expert skills in Java, Spring Framework, Junit, and other Java technologies
  • Sound knowledge of REST APIs, protocol, and troubleshooting experience
  • Solid understanding of Java unit tests frameworks for testing purposes (JUnit, Mockito frameworks, and mocking data)
  • Maven and other dependency management experience is a plus
  • Prior experience working with data connectors
  • Experience using various Java clients for RDBMS like MySQL and PostgreSQL
  • Prior experience using Java clients for Salesforce, Marketo, Hubspot, etc.
  • Experience with GCP is nice to have
  • Proactive around performance metrics gathering, analyzing, and solving bottlenecks
  • Keenness to learn and take up new challenges
