Job description

A fast-scaling e-commerce company focused on improving the lives of caregivers and their loved ones, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The selected candidate will join the team and be responsible for empowering and improving the core services. The engineer will have a major impact and gain exposure to all components of the comprehensive e-commerce platform. The platform provides support for independent caregivers and has raised up to $30 mn in funding so far. This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly growing start-up and contribute to developing innovative solutions. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in new feature implementation and code reviews
  • Define and implement best practices for clean, extensible code
  • Take ownership of projects and communicate clearly on decisions made, roadblocks, and solutions to complex problems
  • Lead discussions and contribute to technical architecture decisions
  • Collaborate with the engineering team and cross-functionally with leaders and individual contributors 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • Must be experienced with Python, SQL, and AWS
  • Nice to have some experience with E-commerce, AWS Glue, and EventBridge
  • Understanding of CloudWatch, BigQuery, and JIRA
  • Familiarity with large scale distributed real-time tools such as Spark or Flink
  • Ability to prioritize and proffer solutions to complex problems
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
