Job description

An early-stage startup with venture capital backing that is developing incredible possibilities for people to engage with digital collectibles, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for using code reviews, testing, and automation in order to make sure the product satisfies quality requirements. The company is determined to leverage the power of technology to help clients acquire digital collectibles seamlessly. This position requires a significant overlap with the PST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and deploy software solutions that satisfy business needs
  • Work together with cross-functional teams to determine, create, and deploy software functionality and features
  • Create code that is clear, dependable, and effective
  • Write technical documentation and keep it updated
  • Engage in daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint planning as part of an agile development process.
  • Mentor aspiring young engineers

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 6+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Demonstrable experience working with GraphQL, React, and Next.js
  • Excellent working knowledge of serverless architecture as well as other modern tech stacks and frameworks
  • Solid understanding of an agile environment
  • Track record of releasing web-based software products that are stable.
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices, such as coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build procedures, testing, and operations, across the entire software development life cycle
  • Desire and interest in learning new technology
  • In-depth knowledge of the entire software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build procedures, testing, and operations
  • Nice to have an understanding of cryptography along with a passion for gaming and collectible items
  • Familiarity with AWS and Blockchain is desirable
  • Fluent in conversational and written English communication
