Job description

A U.S.-based company that is developing next-gen accounting automation software for growing businesses across industries, is looking for a Senior Java Developer. The developer will be working with engineers across the company to build new features at scale. Users can automatically retrieve sales and expense transactions from leading merchants, payment platforms, and seller marketplaces thanks to the company's cutting-edge technology. This position requires 4-5 hours of overlap with the EST time zone.

Job Responsibilities:

Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack
Work on a time crunch to meet deadlines and scale up engineering projects
Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes
Help with the build-out of web applications and infrastructures

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
5+ years of experience building enterprise web applications at scale
Demonstrable experience working with Java and MySQL
Prior experience working within a microservices architecture
Extensive experience with Docker containers
Prior experience building modern web applications in Java
Experience with Redis, Cassandra, RabbitMQ, Prometheus, and Elasticsearch is nice to have
Fluent in English communication, both written and spoken
