Job description

A U.S.-based company that is building an efficient banking platform that enables businesses to provide financial products to their customers, is looking for a Senior Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for building out large-scale systems in repeatable, robust, and reliable ways. The company is on a mission to provide people around the world, who have been overlooked by traditional banking institutions, access to financial services. The company has managed to raise $50.2mn+ during their Series B round of funding. This will be a full-time, long-term position requiring some overlap with the PST time zone. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Generate scalable code libraries for future use and implementation
  • Evaluate business requirements, advocate for industry best practices, and deliver results on time 
  • Improve the development processes to increase team effectiveness
  • Participate in code review sessions and collaborate with other engineers to give and get feedback

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer 
  • Extensive experience in Python, Docker, CI/CD, and microservices
  • Prolific experience with APIs, Task/Queue Oriented Processing (RabbitMQ), Database/ORM
  • Demonstrable experience in MongoDB is preferred but not required
  • Hands-on experience managing systems in production
  • Nice to have experience with finance/processing a large number of transactions
  • Experience in EKS
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
