Job description

A US-based Ed-tech company that has established itself as an industry expert in cybersecurity education is looking for a Senior Data Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for sorting, optimizing, and upgrading the existing data structure, which is currently messy due to ORM. The award-winning company offers superior quality cybersecurity training and education to a diverse group of customers. The company has managed to raise more than $30 mn so far. This would be an amazing opportunity for candidates to work closely with industry veterans on some challenging projects. This role requires some overlap with the US or LATAM time zones.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create destination architecture and API gateways
  • Plan, organize and execute an excellent strategy to ensure the smooth optimization of existing data pile
  • Efficiently perform data migrations
  • Take disparate data and make it useful 
  • Understand database technologies and storage technologies
  • Work on improving and maintaining the legacy code

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a senior data engineer
  • Prolific experience working with Azure, AWS, and GCP
  • Must have prior working experience with Python/Django
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
