Job description

A U.S.-based company that is on a mission to transform the industrial industry by infusing entrepreneurial energy with brilliant ideas, is looking for a Salesforce Developer. The developer will be collaborating closely with the tech architect and BAs while efficiently communicating their needs. The company is bridging the gap in the industrial ecosystem by utilizing its systems integration skills to help clients in realizing their full business potential through a comprehensive strategy of human resources, processes, and systems. Job Responsibilities:

  • Work on integrations and components in a very tactical capacity
  • Showcase a proactive approach to improving Salesforce and converting current code to best practices
  • Express an interest in learning about the newest com releases, technologies, applications, and integrations
  • Produce useful documentation and keep advancing your abilities in process elicitation, internal customer research, and requirements discovery
  • Demonstrate continuous personal/professional development
  • Learn, model, and teach using HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) methods to encourage, reinforce, and reward alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
  • Develop end-to-end Salesforce applications utilizing Configuration and Customization
  • Work with APEX Class, Triggers, Visualforce pages, Lightning components, etc. to satisfy business requirements
  • Provide specialist knowledge and recommendations on Salesforce designs across a broad range of development processes and technologies to ensure the success and sustainability of custom applications
  • Work with the Salesforce Architect(s) to transform business needs into acceptance criteria and well-architected solutions that best exploit the Salesforce platform
  • Collaborate with the Salesforce Administrator to validate business requirements and any issues (security, scalability, restrictions)
  • Use Salesforce APIs to interface with other systems used in the company
  • Maintain the security and integrity of the software while delivering high-quality deliverables as agreed upon on time
  • Work with the Product Owner, Technical Analyst, Development Team, and Scrum Master to help manage the product and sprint backlogs
  • Participate in daily scrum sessions, assess user stories, assign them, and find and fix any gaps between functional user stories and business requirements
  • Work together on the design and development of innovative new product features and enhancements with offshore team members and onshore stakeholders
  • Assure adequate test coverage, assess pull requests, and provide technical oversight for feature development
  • When possible, use pre-built Salesforce customization; keep code documentation up to date; and create and maintain test classes for all custom work
  • Utilize CI technologies like ADO and COPADO to migrate changes from development to test to production environment(s)
  • Debug and fix any problems or defects that may have been reported as a result of production system flaws
  • Introduce Salesforce best practices and ideas to young developers
  • To design, create, and query stored data, one must be familiar with relational data structures and technologies
  • During sprint retrospectives, give frank and constructive criticism so we can keep getting better
  • Always work safely and follow all applicable safety regulations; abide by all business rules, practices, and standards
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 8+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
  • 5+ years of experience working with Salesforce and related technologies
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with Salesforce CRM platforms
  • Profound knowledge of Salesforce Development (VS Code, Salesforce CLI, and Developer Console) 
  • Demonstrable experience with building and system integration
  • Familiarity with the DevOps aspect of Salesforce
  • Certifications as a Platform Developer I or Platform Developer 2
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Declarative tools like Flows, Process Builder, Workflows, and Approvals
  • Ability to arrange and understandably document process flows
  • Extensive knowledge of ETL tools like Jitterbit and MuleSoft is preferred
  • Prior experience with full-stack, commerce hub, integrations, or data platforms is desirable
  • Nice to have an understanding of Salesforce Products like Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, CPQ, FSL, and Community Cloud
  • Some experience with Snowflake is preferred
  • Nice to have a certification as a Salesforce Platform App Builder
  • Excellent communication abilities with the ability to translate complicated problems into clear, simple answers
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and the ability to bring order to unstructured problem
  • Solid comprehension of both waterfall and scrum frameworks and an ability to migrate and adapt effortlessly between the two
  • Ability to focus on business value results, rather than solutions
  • Willingness to gather needs and provide solutions to stakeholders
  • Ability to demonstrate competence with CI/CD/DevOps process setup
  • Strong knowledge of basic web development standards in HTML and Java
  • Solid understanding of Git workflows, source tracking, environment management, and deployment approaches
  • Ability to manage the scope change process and issue identification/resolution
  • Willingness to learn new tools to assist in mastering these abilities
  • Ability to execute in a fast-paced, swift iteration environment while juggling different priorities
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
