Job description

A US-based company that collects and disseminates fare and fare-related statistics for the aviation and tourism industries is looking for a Java Engineer. The selected candidate will be working across teams to design and implement new ideas. The company is working with users to discover unique solutions to get the world traveling by utilizing the database for almost all online air-fair pricing tools. This role requires some overlap with the EST time zone. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of Java-based applications
  • Test existing stacks to maintain the integrity and improve architecture
  • Keep in touch with the changing trends and technology developments
  • Help to define application objectives, features, and functionality
  • Write detailed documentation of development process, architecture, and standard components
  • Scale and fine-tune features to boost app performance

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience as a Java engineer
  • Must possess professional experience of working with Java 
  • Ability to develop and maintain solutions using MongoDB will be helpful
  • Expertise in working with cloud services like AWS or alternatives
  • Knowledge of data warehousing will be beneficial
