Job description

A well-established, US-based media platform that is helping customers to deliver high-quality video content in a more secure and private manner, is looking for a Fullstack (BE Heavy) Engineer. The engineer will be a part of the core engineering team, and will be required to ship production quality features and contribute to the company’s vision and mission. The company’s secure services help customers to store and host all their video content and provides them with an immersive, high-quality experience. This is a long-term, full-time role and requires some overlap with the PST time zone.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Shipping production quality features in a timely manner
  • Help to advance the vision and mission of the company
  • Design, develop, and deliver products that are fully functional, provide a high-quality user experience, and overcome scalability issues   
  • Write clean, readable codes, perform unit and integration tests, troubleshoot and fix bugs, and deliver high-quality solutions 
  • Build, and deploy features from end to end 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience (cloud-based)
  • Must have extensive experience with Ruby on Rails (as a web API not a web server)
  • Prolific knowledge of Typescript and React 
  • Nice to have some experience with PostgreSQL, Node.js, and Next.js 
  • Strong experience with public cloud providers like AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Production experience with distributed systems architecture
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
