Job description

A rapidly growing online booking platform designed for wine tastings and tours is looking for a Full-stack, backend-heavy Developer. The developer will be responsible for building and maintaining the new website. The company aims at developing a user-friendly interface and booking system that will enable users to live memorable experiences around the world. It is a full-time, long-term position that requires at least 4+ hours of time overlap with CET.  

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the project management team to build and design features
  • Contribute to building the new platform and move content and functionality out of the existing one
  • Participate in communication, brainstorming, proactive thinking and offer solutions to challenging problems
  • Create innovative solutions that streamline the technological processes
  • Maintain a strong technical development environment 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience with PHP (CakePHP is preferred)
  • Sound expertise in backend development
  • Experience with Linux Command Line (Bash, SSH, Git command line, PHP-CLI)
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SCSS, jQuery, etc.
  • Proficiency with Git
  • Nice to have some experience with Elasticsearch, Docker, AWS Cloudformation and Fargate
  • Solid server administration skills such as Linux (Debian/Ubuntu), Nginx, Configuring firewall, DNS, etc. 
  • Experience with payments solution optimization and conversion, preferably Stripe and e-Commerce
  • Fluency in English with excellent team working skills
