Job description

A fast-emerging start-up providing an online service for companies and law firms is looking for a Full-stack Backend-focused engineer. The engineer will be responsible for building back-end features and feature support for compliance management. The company is focused on simplifying repetitive, manual and detail-oriented compliance work to boost efficiency. It has raised a fund of over $3mn in funding so far. The role presents a good opportunity to collaborate in a team led by industry professionals while contributing to delivering innovative solutions. It requires at least 4 hours to overlap with PST.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Understand the workflow and formulate plans to address and execute assigned tasks
  • Build and deliver quality solutions and improvements to various software processes
  • Collaborate across teams to meet project requirements 
  • Provide meaningful feedback and support to team members and colleagues
  • Play a key role in owning and developing systems and solutions to complex problems

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • Must be experienced as a full-stack developer with expertise in Python, Javascript and AWS 
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS CDK to create a competitive advantage in building software
  • Proficiency with React, Typescript and PostgreSQL is nice to have
  • Ability to leverage technology and other tools to create meaningful products
  • Strong passion for writing and deploying code at a fast and efficient pace
