Job description

A U.S.-based company that is determined to reimagine the future of the American healthcare system is looking for a Full-Stack Back-End-Focused Engineer. The selected candidate must possess a strong understanding of security and privacy. The company is tapping into the unlimited potential of technology to make healthcare more accessible and efficient for the masses. This position requires some overlap with the CST time zone and will be a long-term, full-time position. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example by participating in code reviews, sprint planning, and hands-on coding
  • Streamline the engineering team and support the company in concentrating on developing ground-breaking goods as quickly as possible.
  • To boost developer productivity and remove pain points, troubleshoot, roll out new services, and find innovative solutions
  • Actively participate in developing and implementing cloud operational best practices

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 8-10+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack engineer
  • Prolific experience working with cloud architecture, CI/CD, AWS, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
  • Prior experience maintaining operational platforms
  • Demonstrable experience working with cloud platforms, focusing on security, performance, and cost
  • Extensive experience with designing, developing, and delivery of client-facing platforms, microservices, API gateways, etc.
  • Nice to have some experience with APIs, especially healthcare APIs, that have multiple integrations
  • At least 2+ years of experience developing software in the Healthcare industry or adjacent biotechnology industry is preferred
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of medical software compliance requirements is nice to have
  • Some experience working at an early-stage technology startup that experienced high growth is desirable
  • Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in English communication, spoken and written
