Job description

A fast-growing company empowering theaters and troupes to reach their best potential and all-in-one solutions is looking for a Full-Stack Back-End-Heavy Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for boosting the performance and responsiveness of the platform. The company aims to help theaters expand their reach and increase their funding while promoting and selling tickets to a wider audience pool. This role requires a significant overlap with the EST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the direction of the design, architecture, and execution of fluid and responsive web applications
  • Create the platform with a modern and open source stack
  • Take complete ownership and accountability for projects assigned 
  • When needed, a willingness to be a broad generalist and lend a hand in responding to changing needs
  • Capability to prioritize competing tasks, work independently, and comprehend technical trade-offs

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 6+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack engineer
  • Excellent understanding of the major web browsers, as well as their troubleshooting and debugging practices and techniques
  • Must have experience with Node.js and AWS DevOps
  • Knowledge of React and MySQL is a must
  • Proven track record of overseeing all aspects of a successful product's lifecycle
  • Extensive experience prioritizing feature requests and challenging institutional thinking
  • A keen sense of the overall user experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as a solid understanding of wireframing, user interaction, and visual design
  • The ability to navigate a path between business needs, end-user needs, and available technology to find the best solution
