Job description

A fast-emerging company building and implementing the best way to get paid as an independent worker, is looking for a Full-Stack, Back-End-Heavy Engineer. The engineer will focus mainly on the back-end while specializing in React, Python, and Flask to help bootstrap the product. The company is dedicated to building a b2b2c embedded lending product to allow marketplaces to offer net0 payment terms and cash advances to workers on their platforms. The selected candidate will join the team as a full-time engineer, working in close collaboration with the highly experienced CTO to build the MVP and other features.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work within a group of engineers and cross-functional team members in the implementation of new and existing features
  • Adhere to internal coding standards, development processes, and design best practices
  • Provide clear and concise communication regarding feature development statuses to the team
  • Write and maintain clean, maintainable, and well-tested code

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4-6+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack or back-end engineer
  • Must have experience with Python (back-end) and Flask
  • Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Familiarity with modern back-end/front-end build pipelines and tools
