Job description

A US-based company utilizing its algorithm-based platform to help people manage and identify residential rentals, is looking for a Full-Stack, Back-End-Heavy Engineer. The selected candidate will be tasked with the development lifecycle to create, design, code, debug, maintain, test, implement and validate mobile and web back-ends. The company is on a quest to transform people's property into a simple, safe investment that generates passive income and increases wealth. During their Series A round, they secured funding worth more than $14 mn. This will be a full-time role that requires some overlap with the EST/PST time zone.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Have a broad understanding of best practices and modern architectures
  • Guide, share knowledge, and mentor fellow teammates
  • Collaborate between team members and provide valuable inputs while making internal decisions
  • Build secure, performant, and stable applications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack or back-end engineer
  • Extensive experience working with Python, Typescript, React, and Django frameworks
  • Skilled in back-end architecture and API development
  • Demonstrable database optimization experience
  • Familiar with Unit and Integration testing concepts
  • Working knowledge of the overall architecture of software applications for products
  • Understanding of the architecture for collecting events and the ETL operations
  • Ability to maintain a safe development lifecycle and environment through working knowledge of Linux
  • Prior experience developing a CI/CD platform with CircleCI
  • Experience with Cloud deployments like ECS, EBS, RDS, Elasticache, S3, and other AWS services
  • Proficient with monitoring for error reporting and performance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to express technical concepts in a simple and effective manner
