Job description

A US-based company that helps users monitor, analyze, and act on video, image, and audio data, is looking for a Full-Stack Back-End-Heavy Engineer. The engineer will be expected to participate and potentially lead the technical development of projects while engaging actively in the strategy and direction of the company. The company is determined to raise some awareness through multimedia understanding by leveraging actionable insights and awareness. The company has managed to raise funding worth $4 mn+ during their Seed round. This will be a full-time, long-term position that requires some overlap with the EST time zone.

Job Responsibilities:

Participate in the development of all aspects of the platform, including the processing pipeline, management console, and auxiliary services
Deliver production code for the back-end server infrastructure using a modern Python stack
Deliver production-ready front-end code and collaborate directly with designers and business executives
Participate in code-review and brainstorming sessions and propose new ideas to novel problems
Maintain and manage the code quality and software infrastructure
Collaborate across teams to ensure that the business and product needs are met
Participate actively in a fast-paced development environment and examine deployed code in a multi-cloud environment

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack or back-end developer
2+ years of experience writing production-level code solutions that meet stringent performance requirements
Prolific experience with Python, React, and Vue.js
Experience with unidirectional state management
Good version control reflexes
Nice to have some knowledge of other relevant front-end frameworks
Great analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
Excellent collaboration and communication skills
