Job description

A US-based platform that has developed an app to help eliminate social isolation from senior living communities, is looking for a Full-Stack Back-end-heavy Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for enhancing the user experiences and upgrading the company’s software services. The company's solutions enable seniors in the community to live purposefully with a social connection through interactive content solutions and modern technology. The company has managed to raise funding worth $16mn+ so far. This position requires some overlap with the PST time zone and will be a long-term, full-time role.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and fix bottlenecks in the development process
  • Plan, design, and execute end-to-end web architecture
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products
  • Manage the full lifecycle of the product from design to documentation
  • Understand product and customer priorities, and balance those against operational and technical needs

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end or full-stack developer
  • Extensive experience working with Node.js and Express.js
  • Prior API experience (REST API)
  • Familiarity with React and MongoDB is nice to have
  • Good collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to explain complex topics to a non-technical audience
