Full-Stack Developer (Front-End-Heavy)

A US-based company helping businesses to develop a virtual office for the sales team is looking for a Full-Stack Front-End-Heavy Developer. The selected candidate will be in charge of developing new platform features from start to finish. The company is leveraging technology to assist distributed teams in working, hanging out, and interacting with each other with the real-time, human connection that comes with working in the same place. The company has managed to raise $4.8mn+ during its Seed round. This will be a long-term position requiring some overlap with the PST time zone. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Be involved in feature planning and building new platform features from start to finish
• Work across cross-functional teams to specify, build, test, and deliver data pipelines
• Combine front-end elements with server-side logic to enhance user experience 
• Collaborate effectively with the product engineering and design professionals to build innovative solutions 
• Improve the web framework for faster execution and scalability
• Work extensively with design and implementation details to find the best solution
• Iterate quickly on ideas and focus on delivering results in an environment with important deadlines and multiple priorities

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 2+ years of relevant experience delivering web applications
• Extensive experience in Node.js, Figma
• Nice to have experience in Cloud, Google Cloud Platform, and Electron
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Track record of building a video communications web application
• Experience working with WebRTC or other related video technologies
• Competency in using Electron to build a native desktop application or Chrome extensions
• Prolific skills in web performance and JavaScript profiling
• Have a functional GitHub profile or personal website showcasing previous projects and experiences 
• Expertise in front-end technologies, including React and Typescript
• Knowledge of databases like Firebase and PostgreSQL
• Capacity in working with server technologies: Python3 or NodeJS, Google Cloud Services
• Ability to convert Figma design mocks into code
