Job description

A U.S.-based company that is developing user-friendly and trustworthy AI to help enterprises with quick data queries is looking for a Full-Stack Back-End-Heavy Developer. The developer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining back-end systems in cooperation with the development team. The company is working to create a conversational AI engine that will relieve data workers of the burden of writing SQL for ad hoc requests. The company has managed to secure $2.8mn+ during their Seed round of funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Actively seek out issues, deliver fixes, and mentor the team technically.
  • Take charge of the quality, reliability, performance, security, and scalability of the applications 
  • Consult senior engineering managers and architects to improve and hone your solutions
  • Work with conflicting priorities and plan the best course of action for yourself and your team while removing roadblocks

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 6+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack or back-end engineer
  • 6-8+ years of experience working with Python and web services like REST APIs, Flask, and Django
  • Extensive experience with front-end development technologies like React, JavaScript, and TypeScript
  • Prolific experience working with SQL, database design, and data modeling
  • Demonstrable experience with DevOps, including AWS setup, Database/Warehouse setup, CI/CD, and Docker
  • Nice to have some knowledge of DBT, LookML, and data warehouse
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
