Job description

A US-based company building a multiplayer, web-based gaming platform for poker enthusiasts is looking for a Full-stack, Back-end-heavy Engineer. The engineer will take responsibility for developing, monitoring, managing, and configuring the software platform at scale for multiple users. The company is growing rapidly with a monthly traction rate of approximately 1,000 players. They are VC-funded along with some top Angel investors and professionals. This exciting role presents the candidates with an opportunity to join the team as early members and scale the platform to a more extensive user base. The job requires a minimum of 4 hours overlap with the EST time zone.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new application features
  • Develop and maintain efficient and reusable code
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products
  • Build scalable, efficient, and well-documented stacks

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant full-stack or back-end engineering experience 
  • Must be experienced in React and Ruby on Rails
  • Nice to have some proficiency in Game development, React Native, DevOps, PostgreSQL, and AWS
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with sound attention to details
  • Solid expertise in designing, coding, debugging, and testing software applications
