Job description

A leading company developing products that will help make the lives of API developers and consumers easier is looking for a Front-End Web Platform Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for building the foundational layer of the front-end and desktop platforms as well as the tools and infrastructure which help the Product teams ship more efficiently. The US-based company has developed a collaboration platform that offers an application program interface to users quickly and efficiently. The company managed to raise funding worth more than $400 mn during their Series D round. This is an exciting opportunity for developers with an aptitude towards working with global, distributed teams.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new features, improve accessibility and reliability of existing features, and scale the development processes 
  • Build, integrate and maintain features, software components, and enhance the product quality 
  • Liaise with various teams to architect requirements, build, test, and deliver on new features
  • Tackle complex problems and improve existing tests

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • 2+ years experience in building web applications with an understanding of relevant problem domain
  • Working experience with a platform or engineering team and using JavaScript, React, and Node.js
  • Nice to have some expertise in open-source front-end frameworks (Angular.js) or tooling experience with Webpack, Babel, and Browserify
  • Extensive experience building successful open source projects is desirable
  • Experience with continuous delivery and infrastructure as code is nice to have
  • Ability to write testable, maintainable code that’s easy to understand
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
