Data Scientist

A fast-growing company active in the fintech space is looking to hire a Data Scientist. The candidate will utilize expert skills in analysis, statistics, and programming to collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets. The company is focused on providing better credit alternatives using data and technology. Sound expertise in R and SQL is required for this role. This is a nice opportunity for those who want to utilize great programming skills in developing beautiful, innovative applications. The role requires at least 4 hours of time overlap.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with researchers and security engineers to develop scalable solutions
• Find ways and implement customer-facing data products, analytics, and visualizations
• Ideate new data analytical approaches to identify security concerns from within endless sources of data
• Deploy ML models and statistical approaches to resolve issues
• Collect, process, and analyze huge data sets and derive insights

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of experience working as a data scientist
• Proficient with SQL and R
• A quick learner and problem-solving attitude
• Experience working with Jupyter notebook is preferred
• Communication skills and ability to work as a committed team member
