The engineer must have excellent programming skills, interact with the company’s senior executive team and founders, and take responsibility for projects from start to finish. Job Responsibilities:

  • Code applications to completion in an extreme programming environment
  • Work actively to ensure efficient optimization of high volume enterprise websites 
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of software layers, with the ability to enhance processes within the technology platform - 
  • Design and build internal software to automate and integrate business processes
  • Collaborate on several business tasks and seamlessly transition from one project to the next 
  • Engage actively in daily scrums during sprints 
  • Collaborate with the department end-users to develop solutions to provide a better customer experience

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years professional work experience as a back-end/Java engineer
  • Keenness to build a scalable system that can process millions of requests daily
  • Excellent programming skills and capable of working in quick iterative development cycles
  • Interest in understanding the business requirements
  • Proficiency in managing multiple projects with competing priorities
  • Ability to work in a group environment
  • In-depth expertise in Java, JSP, SQL, JavaScript, and HTML
  • Hands-on working knowledge of Spring, Redis, MongoDB, Redshift 
  • Excellent communication, both written and spoken  
  • Competency to work well in a dynamic environment with the most minor supervision
  • Knowledge of AJAX, Tomcat, MySQL, Linux is a plus
