Job description

A NASDAQ-listed company that is offering synthetic DNA production services for specialty chemical compounds and drug development is looking for a Back-End Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining, and scaling the existing software. The company's advanced solutions can revolutionize the medicine, agriculture, industrial chemicals, and data storage industries while helping users better their lives and improve the planet's sustainability. The company has managed to secure more than $500 mn in funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Be accountable for your codebase and suggest improvements in the code 
  • Coordinate with the front-end to ensure all developers are on the same page
  • Work closely with the engineering in all aspects of software development
  • Accept responsibility and work within stringent deadlines and pressure 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • Extensive experience in PostgreSQL, MongoDB and Python
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, AWS, and React is plus
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
